Independent Life’s iStructure is the settlement industry’s first modern Index-Linked Structured Settlement Annuity option in the marketplace. With iStructure, clients can watch their future payments grow when index returns are positive and stand firm when the index returns are negative.
How iStructure Works
When there is an index gain for the policy year, that gain is multiplied times the participation rate to determine the index credit rate. Any index loss is zeroed out and treated as no gain.
All current and future payments are increased by any index credit rate at the end of a policy year. Once index credits are applied, they are locked-in and guaranteed not to decrease.
Index credits stack on top of each other, allowing payments to grow over time.
